Three spots where everyone can match their own tastes with soup, meat, rice, and broth rather than settling on a single menu

There are days when kids want familiar food and adults crave something different. If dining out gets decided only when someone gives in, it feels a bit disappointing right from the start. When I eat with my family, I prefer a table where we can keep our own personal preferences while eating together, rather than trying to make everyone like the exact same food.
You can share soup, pasta, and hamburg steak, choose meat, noodles, and rice together, or explore your own tastes through broth and finishing dishes. Rather than picking places simply because they have extensive menus, I chose these by looking at what actually tasted good and where preferences diverged.

A place where you start with smooth sweet pumpkin soup and branch out tastes with pasta and hamburg steak

It was great to have another dish I could share with my child
It was wonderful to see an elementary school kid who is usually a picky eater enjoy the sweet pumpkin. While I often just think about picking separate dishes for my child, dining out becomes much more enjoyable when there is one more item we can share together. The smooth sweet pumpkin soup remained memorable for that exact feeling.
Pairing the sweet pumpkin soup with aglio e olio and combination pizza was also a great combination. To my palate, it was not overly stimulating, making it easy to enjoy alongside my family. Rather than assuming everyone will love a single dish, I prefer leaning toward setting familiar menus together.

I want pasta chosen with care for adults, too
For the oil pasta, the fragrant olives were not mushy and the shrimp were plump, which was wonderful. The noodles were cooked just right as well. I find it disappointing when we only look for food our child eats well and settle for whatever for the adults. Being able to enjoy the texture and quality of the ingredients truly changes the satisfaction of a family meal.
The tender hamburg steak accompanied by whole garlic and savory sauce offered a different joy from noodle dishes. Having pasta and salad alongside kept the flavors well balanced. It is a great choice on days when the family splits between wanting meat and wanting noodles.

Even when ordering different dishes, I want our meal together to be comfortable
The pleasant atmosphere and kind service made eating with children very comfortable. The memory of both kids and adults enjoying the meal with hamburg steak was lovely. To me, catering to family preferences is not just about having a broad menu. A place only comes to mind again when the time spent sitting together after everyone picks their meal is truly comfortable.

A table where you can choose meat, pasta, and risotto together to accommodate your family’s different tastes

On days when the child wants pasta and the adults crave steak
A meal where my son thoroughly enjoyed his pasta while the adults loved the steak captured the strengths of this place well. In family dining, rather than making everyone order the same thing, I prefer having each person’s desired dish on one table. Being able to choose meat and noodles together was wonderful for that reason.
The steak was tender, and the tomato mare pasta had plenty of seafood, making it great to pair together. Since it was an arrangement where no one was stuck eating only meat or only noodles, it comes to mind when dining with family members of different tastes.

There are options for rice lovers as well
The shrimp rosé pasta was smooth and savory, while the kimchi mushroom bacon pilaf left behind a rich, savory depth. Placing noodles and rice side-by-side with steak added a distinct dining fun. I do not want to tell family members who love rice that they have to pick pasta just because it is Western food. Having pilaf and risotto makes thinking through combinations much easier.
The meal where we enjoyed the rich creaminess of carbonara risotto alongside the flavor of shrimp rosé pasta was also great. However, having a variety of plates and having enough food for four people are two different matters, so next time I will consider our appetite for that day as much as the menu names.

Even with familiar names, check the spice level again
Even when asking for the shrimp oyster dish to be less spicy, it was still spicy to my taste. The oyster risotto felt around the spice level of Shin Ramyun. On days when I am balancing child and adult tastes, I will not assume other dishes are mild just because a creamy item was gentle. The more we share plates, the more important these differences become.
The restaurant was spacious and airy, making it great to chat over multiple dishes. Cozy House comes to mind on days when we can clearly separate spicy adult dishes from mild ones that kids can eat comfortably. There is no need for everyone to enjoy the exact same plate.

A shabu-shabu meal adding your choice of broth and finishing rice to the pleasure of meat and vegetables

Favorite broths differed even among family members
My parents thoroughly enjoyed the tomato broth, while I preferred the green curry option. For my parents, however, the curry aroma felt strong. Seeing this difference made me realize I should not pick one single broth as the definitive answer for the entire family. Our familiarity with flavors and comfort with aromas can vary.
The mushroom broth remained memorable for its flavor that never grew tiring even after eating it repeatedly. Even in a meal built around meat and vegetables, broth preferences mattered greatly. When choosing together as a family, rather than just hearing that there are various broths, I want to talk first about what aroma each person feels comfortable eating.

After meat and vegetables, you end up looking forward to the risotto
The meat was of high quality and the vegetables were fresh, which delivered the core joy of eating shabu-shabu. The truffle risotto following the mushroom broth was so delicious that we kept eating to the very end even while saying we were full. I was delighted that there was something to look forward to not just for meat lovers, but also for family members anticipating the concluding rice dish.

Attentive service kept the rhythm of the meal comfortable
It was wonderful when staff explained items with a smile when we asked about unfamiliar dishes and responded quickly to requests. The dining flow of clearing empty dishes and taking care of refills was smooth and effortless. On days when questions multiply while trying to accommodate everyone’s preferences, this kind of hospitality feels even more appreciated.
However, there was an instance when the initially assigned seat was disappointing despite open tables, and the response to a move request was not very smooth. Later on, thanks to help from another staff member, we changed seats and enjoyed our meal. While remembering the comfortable parts of the experience, I also want to keep in mind that not every seat and step goes the exact same way.

If you want to share a kid-friendly soup in the middle while choosing pasta and hamburg steak, Dr. Robbin is great; if you want everyone to find their own share among meat, noodles, and rice, Cozy House is a good fit. If you want to enjoy meat and vegetables in a warm soup while discussing broth preferences, I would pick Modern Shabu House.
Having different palates in the family can make eating out tricky, but it can also be the reason our shared dishes become so richly varied. Rather than convincing everyone to settle on one menu item, I want meals where everyone’s unique tastes are preserved.
